What Are You Doing, Bryan Duncan, and How Can I Help?
Campaign to record a new album and re-issue past CDs ended Dec. 16
So you missed my Kickstarter campaign? Fortunately, I'll be doing other campaigns, including one in the coming months to make it easier for you to pre-order the new album. So, if there's a backer reward you were hoping for, send me a note through my Kickstarter page.

I launched a Kickstarter campaign to record a new album and re-issue eight of my past recordings. Many of you have asked questions. Here are some answers.
How Can I Help?
Share: the campaign, the stories, the music videos and the celebration event with your friends and family. There's a complete list of things you can share at the bottom of this document and I'll update it as we add new music videos, stories, etc.
I've been told that using social media effectively is one of the keys to a successful Kickstarter campaign. Your help is extremely important because even the people who like my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter don't see everything I post. On the average day about 10-15 percent of you "might" see something from me. And then there's the hundreds of thousands of people who actually own one or more of my albums but have no idea that I'm still alive much less on Facebook or Twitter.
This story tells a bit more about me and how God is working in my life. If you've already shared the story, you can use Bryan Duncan's Campaign At Critical Stage As Deadline Approaches. You'll notice it has buttons to make sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Digg, etc. very easy. Please use them to share the story as soon as you're able.
This Facebook event marks the final 48 hours of my Kickstarter campaign to record a new album and re-issue eight past CDs. You and your friends (if you invite them) can track the progress and help me celebrate if we meet or beat the goal.
Support: We're all influenced by what our friends and family are doing. If you support the campaign, then more of your friends will too. I'll be able to use Kickstarter's tools to connect with you if you pledge your support of at least one dollar. I start throwing in fun perks if you pledge at least three dollars. I hope you can find a way to participate that works for you and some rewards that charge your batteries.
This Kickstarter page includes a video and information about my campaign. It also lists the cool stuff you'll get for participating - things like autographed albums, house concerts, duets in concert or on your album projects and the chance to connect by phone or videoconference to talk about our lives, new songs, old songs, etc. You'll find answers to any questions about Kickstarter there.
You'll notice the Kickstarter page also has buttons to make sharing on Facebook, Twitter, etc. very easy. You can send a private message to me there and find out more about Kickstarter. There are also answers to more questions there, like "Can I participate even if I don't live in the United States?" (Spoiler alert: the answer is yes).
What Happens If You Exceed The Goal?
If we exceed the goad, the new album will be that much better and probably finished sooner too. If we exceed it by enough, I might even be able to release a song off the new album to radio.
Doing this campaign has its costs, although they are very worthwhile. We did a small amount of adverising and there are costs to providing you with the cool perks you choose for participating. I'll be setting that money aside to meet those commitments. Kickstarter sends me the total raised, less their fees and Amazon's credit card processing fees. So, whatever is left after costs and fees is what I have to record the new album and re-issue those out-of-print recordings.
What Happens If You Don't Reach The Goal?
In a word - nothing.
Kickstarter uses an all or nothing model. So, if we don't reach the goal the project isn't funded. Nobody who pledged support will be asked to provide it. None of the fun rewards will be produced or shipped. It will be as if we stepped back in time only we won't look any younger.
